Es La Mañana Llena was drafted at the Yaddo Artist Colony in Saratoga Springs, NY in July 2005 and completed in February 2006 in Baltimore, MD. It is my hope that the music echoes the poet's sentiment about the book which contains these poems: "in spite of its acute melancholy, the joyfulness of being alive is present in it."

Es La Mañana Llena received first prize in the Peabody Camerata’s Composition Competition.
